Osteo-plus

Bij Osteo-Plus, de osteopathiepraktijk van Prof Dr Quaghebeur, kan je terecht voor heel wat verschillende disciplines: van sportgeneeskunde tot lymfetechnieken, perinatale begeleiding, bekkenbodemrevalidatie, manuele neurotherapie, rugschool, toegepaste kinesiologie en meer.

Naast Osteo-Plus is Dr Quaghebeur ook actief bij het 'Synergeia' team in Pellenberg. Hij is ook gastlector aan de UAntwerpen, osteopaat bij de afdeling Urologie en de Klein Bekken Kliniek bij het Universitair Ziekenhuis Antwerpen (UZA) en hij geeft les rond verschillende topics bij FICO (Flanders International College of Osteopathy). Hij publiceerde ook al meermaals in diverse journals en schreef boeken over en rond de osteopathie.

Dr Quaghebeur has been involved in research on pain physiology, diagnostic techniques and treatment. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Antwerp. PhD thesis: Research on diagnostic techniques used in CPPS patients. Actually, he is a guest professor at the University Antwerp Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and an osteopath at the Department of Urology and Pelvis Clinic of the University Hospital Antwerp (UZA).

His professional clinic in Aarschot contains the most diverse disciplines going from sports medicine, lymphatic techniques, perinatal education, pelvic floor revalidation, pulmonary revalidation, manual neuro-therapy, pelvic girdle and lower back school therapy, applied kinesiology, orthomolecular therapy, neurodynamic techniques, and osteopathy.

He practises osteopathy with the ‘Synergeia’ team at Pellenberg, treating chronic fatigue and pain syndromes. He taught postgraduate courses about pelvic girdle pain, pelvic instability, pain physiology, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunctions, urology, gynaecological problems, small pelvis problems and chronic pelvic pain syndromes.

At the Flanders International College of osteopathy (FICO), he teaches neurology, urology and gynaecology, neurodynamic techniques, clinical neurological assessment, pain physiology, Poly Vagal theory, cerebrospinal fluid physiology, evidence-based cranial osteopathy, and Primo Vascular System since 1996.

He has been coordinating over 440 dissertations at the osteopathy academy and was a promoter of 15 dissertations since 1997. He was a methodological tutor and promoter of 22 MSc. thesis, Dresden International University, Germany. He published multiple journal publications, several book chapters, a book on diagnosis and management of patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome, and is a recommended speaker at international conferences.
